My disease is called cystic fybrosis and it is a disease that is inherited disease that causes thick, sticky mucus to form in the lungs, pancreas and other organs. In the lungs, this mucus blocks the airways, causing lung damage and making it hard to breathe. In the pancreas, it clogs the pathways leading to the digestive system, interfering with proper digestion. Another name for it is (CF) people with CF have a shorter life span the regular people and should seek help right away they usaually live until their 30's through their 40's
People with cystic fybrosis got it from from a recessive gene because it it not contagious from a dominant gene and it mostly occurs with caucasian people with a recessive gene parent now the gene is found in region q31.2 on the long (q) arm of human chromosome 7
The symptoms of the cystic fibrosis are usually if the person has a smokers cough which is a constant cough and shorts breathing while doing everday activities could be a sign or symptom, another could be producing alot of sputum als called "mucus or phlegm" , another is wheezing and feeling that you cant breath or take a deep breath.
There are many causes of CF but there are also mant treatments some are medician perscribed from your doctor and if you are a smoker quit smoking another is oxegyn therapy but only if your COPD i servere you also can go to a program called pulmonary rehabilitation which is program where you exercise and etc. to stay in shape to fight COPD another treatment is SURGERY sometimes recomended but only on rare occasions this doesnt cause premature death.
About 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide). in 2,500 to 3,500 caucasian newborns. CF is less common in other ethnic groups, affecting about 1 in 17,000 african americans and 1 in 31,000 asian americans so in that case the race group that gets it more are caucasions.
